Plant Protection: from spray plan to finished records
Products from the BAES database, quantity calculation without any mental arithmetic, tasks for your team — and at the end, records you simply export. The Plant Protection module covers the whole process.

Products and active substances from the BAES database
Vinitor is connected to the Austrian plant protection product register run by BAES (Bundesamt für Ernährungssicherheit, the Austrian Agency for Food Safety). You search for your product — approval data, pre-harvest intervals and the permitted application rates per growth stage are already there.
- Approved products with register number, pre-harvest interval and dosing rules per BBCH stage.
- BAES products are read-only — with one click you clone a copy and adjust it.
- You can also create your own products at any time.

The spray plan: four steps, done
A wizard guides you through: master data (period, grape growth stage, calculation method), the tank mix as a reusable spray recipe, the vineyards (individually or as a group) and the spray lead. On saving, Vinitor automatically creates the tasks — one per vineyard, without you creating them individually.
- Define tank mixes once, reuse them in every spray plan.
- When saving, Vinitor checks whether the grape growth stage matches the tank mix and whether the application rate is within the permitted range — otherwise you see immediately what would be allowed.
- Your spray lead sees the spraying as a task in the app — administration stays in the dashboard.

Vinitor does the quantity calculations — by hectare or by leaf wall
You choose the calculation method — hectare area or leaf wall area — and Vinitor works out, per vineyard, how much water and how much of each product you need. No scrap of paper, no calculator the night before.
- Water volume per vineyard: area times application rate, shown ready-calculated in litres.
- Product quantities are automatically scaled from the tank-mix recipe to the actual spray volume.
- Progress per vineyard: a bar, the sprayed area in hectares and the completion date, all at a glance.

Records that hold up to inspection
Every treatment is documented with product, register number, quantity, area, date and spray lead — exportable as PDF or CSV, one line per product and vineyard. And because tank mixes are versioned, a later adjustment to the recipe never changes your old records.
From 1 January 2027, plant protection records must be kept electronically and in a machine-readable format. What EU Regulation 2023/564 requires exactly, and how you can prepare, is on our page Plant Protection Records 2027.
